BEing HUMAN
“I am only human.” I say. Mostly as an excuse for my stupid choices, using my humanity as a “right off” for all of my shortcomings, my silly fopauxs, and my complete sin. Shoulders shrugged at the link of humanity and sin. Trapped in a cycle of belief that we will never BE good enough for the universal all loving God or ever come close to BEING who we were made to be.
Is humanity a curse or a beautiful struggle?
“Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself. He had equal status with God but didn’t think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what. really like this photo by @jenprice77 It was a great night. We hung out on top of the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas and had fun taking photos of the city at night.
Just spent the weekend with a old friend Taylor Maxwell. He is on national tour sharing the song from his latest disc Father & Mother. Here is a video of hims sing “City Bright with Pearls” Sorry the sound is bad, it does get better I promise.
The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths.
These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen.
